Julia Holley like so many others was deflected from taking art as a young person, by well meaning if misguided adoptive parents who felt she should have a proper job!

Throughout her life she always dabbled but never seriously, producing some delightful watercolours but never tackling oils.

Some years ago now having moved to Spain and been inspired by the sheer vibrance and colour of the place she took up wet on wet oil painting.

She is passionate about her subject and strives to produce paintings that will reward beginners, many of whom have such a hard time with watercolours.

Her wet on wet oil painting technique is learnable by anyone who seriously wishes to apply him or herself and she is a patient and considerate teacher exuding and instilling confidence in her students.

She has taught all over the UK, in the USA and currently teaches in Spain.
